Fast Finder help

Talk2me

Talk2me is a separate, optional voice typing app for Mac. Fast Finder offers it once. You can say no.

Talk2me is 100% PRIVATE. Your words stay on your Mac.

How it works

Hold Control + Option, talk, and let go. Your words appear in every app.

The offer

  • The welcome guide shows the offer once, on its last card. Press "Not now" to skip it.
  • Fast Finder does not connect to the internet for Talk2me until you click and confirm.

Install it

  1. Click the Talk2me button in the status bar. Or press Cmd+Alt+K.
  2. Fast Finder opens talk-2.dev in your browser, so you can read about Talk2me. Then it asks "Get Talk2me?". Read the question. Press "Get Talk2me" to continue, or "Not now" to stop.
  3. Fast Finder downloads Talk2me from talk-2.dev, checks its signature, and installs it.
  4. Click the button again to open Talk2me.

Press Esc to cancel a download.

Hide the button

  1. Right-click the Talk2me button.
  2. Choose to hide it.
  3. You can still get Talk2me from Settings, at the top.

Windows

Talk2me is a Mac app. The Windows beta has no Talk2me button.
